Hey blerg, what’s happening? Here I am yesterday, just chilling in a field of weeds, waiting for Maggie to return the tennis ball. I fantasize on a bi-weekly basis about returning to my eyelash extensions, SHHHH, don’t tell anybody.
Speaking of returning to beauty enhancements, I finally went and got a shellac manicure again yesterday after a break since…January. Pretty good break, I’d say. It’s neon pink. I wanted neon pink GLITTER, but they didn’t have it, DAMMIT.
Recently I requested a nightie from Nordstrom’s for my 3 month pregnancy present. This isn’t the nightie I wanted, DUH, but isn’t it adorable?
Today I am 12 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and my son is the size of a “large plum”, via the app I visit daily.
I worked yesterday (but no special holiday bonus for me!); today I am not working. My goal for today is to blast through at least 4 hours of continuing education. I want to complete all my continuing education before the baby comes.
I drugged the dogs last night around 5 pm. This picture was from Sunday–they looked even more pathetic than this last night. The BOOMS and crackles and POPS started around 8:30 and lasted…well, I assume they lasted until midnight, but I was asleep around 10 because that’s what happens when you’re pregnant.
This classic car outside the donut shop had the most gorgeous teal glitter stripe running down it. I’d like an entire car painted like this, yes please!
Baby’s first concert is gonna be Die Antwoord! This month! The Broad and Josh and I are going. CAN’T WAIT. What on earth am I gonna wear?
This hydrangea in our front yard is really out of control. Josh cut some of the Endless Summer, put it in a vase with water, and now, 10 days later, it hasn’t dropped a single bloom.
Speaking of Bubble Butt, he left me for EIGHT WHOLE DAYS to go float down the Smith River in Montana with his uncle. Normally I wouldn’t care, probably even be a little happy about it, but thanks to Pregnancy Hormones I missed him a LOT (especially the first two nights). Damn you, pregnancy hormones! Why you gotta make me feel so many feelings?
Since I didn’t have any worked lined up last week either, except for on Friday, that made for an extra-lonely week. That’s why I spent time over at Brenna’s, with Christy, and with Corinne. I don’t like to be alone.
This adorable picture of Marilyn’s cellulite has been one of my most-liked IG pictures ever, with more than 60 likes. It IS pretty cute.
I don’t have any work lined up yet this week either, dammit. I guess I had better finish up that big old floral painting I’m working on, before the weather actually starts to get nice. It’s raining today!
I went to Sephora to return some foundation that sucked, stopped by my hair salon for a free bangs trim and then my unborn child propelled me into the cupcake store, where I purchased this butterscotch chip cupcake. I think the idea was better than the execution, and also: too much damn frosting. Yuck.
Christopher has just started the Atkins diet, which I find hysterical, because as any faithful reader of this blog can attest he has been giving me shit for dieting as long as we’ve been friends, which is to say for EVER. THE TABLES HAVE TURNED, BETCH.
I’d say this photo sums up my summer plans pretty well, and you?
Oh a happy Cub! She was not a happy Cub last night, stumbling all over the place. She was, however, glued to my side all evening, and selfishly I enjoyed THAT.
I do spend a great deal of time following after dog butts, don’t I?
Every day, whether I like it or not. And Shoshanna claims I won’t need a baby stroller. HA! She doesn’t have dogs any more! She must have forgotten!
These roses outside Corinne’s house caught my roving eye. They match my current nail shellac.
Thanks to a Groupon, I had a (supposedly) 100$ facial for only 30 dollars. She spent about an hour–massaging, exfoliating, steaming, applying a mask, slapping me around, even massaging my shoulders a bit–but my skin looked exactly, and I mean EXACTLY, the same afterwards. I fail to see what the big deal is. Maybe if my skin was more “problematic”, I would have noticed…something? I don’t think I would do it again.
Oh it’s the obligatory gym locker room selfie! And why not. I’m happy to be back at the gym!
Goat Cub! I feel like I should have posted this already, but maybe I forgot? Bear Cub’s closest trim ever. A little too short for my taste.
I miss my little fluffer nutter. At least it grows back.
I’m disappointed in myself yesterday for not even swirling around a sparkler or two, but that’s what happens when you are in bed at 8 pm doing crossword puzzles on your phone instead of partying it up. Heigh ho! Have a great week!
