Today was a good day

First day at the park with short sleeves! I love spring.
Yesterday at the park. Can you tell that I love spring? I LOVE SPRING.

Today was a good day. I had ten patients to see, not one single refusal, and every treatment ran smoothly. That’s rare, friends. I was off work before 3:30, with plenty of time to take the animals to the dog park, where we played in the sunshine–58 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Bliss. Came out and hooked up the garden hose for the first time since we shut everything down for winter and hosed off the pets, weeded and watered all the plants in the front yard. Serotonin replenishment times 10,000. THEN to top it all off, my husband is actually at the grocery store shopping for barbecue items that he is going to prepare, meaning I have to do NOTHING for dinner. Did you know that’s my favorite? Man. I’m even on day 2 of my period and feeling no pain. Today was a very good day.

BAH HA HA YES FINALLY!
In funny bumper stickers news…BAH HA HA. Stick figure families on minivans have been rampant around here, and this was just the antidote I needed.

Maggie thinks "Now, Voyager" is boring.
Maggie bored during “Now, Voyager”. My husband has a 93-year-old patient who has been giving him movie recommendations, and this was one of them. It’s not my personal Bette Davis fave–that would be “All About Eve” or, for heaven’s sake, give me “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?”, but it was fun watching a classic.

Coming up tomorrow: my recap of episode 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race! I plan on watching it tonight while engaging in my latest evening activity: rolling my hair up like an elderly woman and smothering my dry skin surfaces with Tahitian Coconut Nectar body butter by Pacifica. It is as good as it sounds. Mmmmm.
