Sweet lovers love the spring

Really like the one I did this morning. I used a little more silicone and a little more blow torch to make the cells pop!
Hi blerg! Currently I am glorping down coffee and listening to my baby NOT napping in his crib. Here is another fluid art session. These things are addictive!

Feels like spring today! 🌞
I’m just having issues with the art resin that goes over the top. It looks fabulous, and leaves a thick, glossy, mirror-like finish, BUT every time it’s done drying there are annoying dry spots. So I have to sand, wipe down, and repeat the whole resin process over again. PAIN IN THE ASS.

This morning however, finally, two out of the three paintings I am working on have a near-flawless finish. One of those took FOUR coats to achieve that finish. Sheee-yit. I hope it gets easier. Art resin is expensive!

Grateful I only had to work a 1/2 day today. 🌞
My weight loss is the slowest imaginable and I will be a far cry from goal for our trip in three weeks but SCREW IT, you gotta LIVE!

It’s not gonna stop me from snarfing multiple shaved ice, crepes, and waddling around in my bathing suit with my baby on the beach. No way Jose.

Bear Cub was so anxious to get away from the baby that she climbed into my lap today! Oh Bear Schnubs.
Bear Cub decided to be a weirdy Cub the other day and climb into my lap to escape the baby! Ha ha.

Latest. The blue paint congealed weirdly but it adds...texture? It’s fun how little control you actually have over the outcome. I’ve never really done abstract art before and I’m enjoying this.
Tri-i-i-ppy, man. The blue paint on this congealed weirdly but I’ve decided I like it. Heavy or even medium viscosity acrylics do not work so well for these projects. Oddly, cheap-ass liquid-y craft paint works great. Note to self: buy more craft paint.

Bear Cub on the prowl.
Hey I think that baby fell asleep. Gooood. We just finished with swim class, there’s no way he was going to skip his morning nap!

I love spring.

I love these striped crocuses in our backyard.
I really especially like these striped crocuses. Next month, we’re planting dahlias (thanks Grandma Shirley!).

He loves me...he loves me not...🌼🌸🌼
Sweet little guy, playing with flowers.

TGIF! Did you hug a dog today? 🐢
Starting this week I have my old job back, just Wednesday through Friday, but even a steady job three days a week beats the crapola I’ve been doing for ages. Steady is best! Mama needs to build up savings!

Who wants string cheese? Everyone.
This is what happens when you open a string cheese around here.

Apparently Buzzfeed thinks my β€œemotional age” is 14. Description IS accurate, though.
The “deep” minds behind Buzzfeed quizzes have determined that my emotional age is 14. “Pretty accurate so far,” as Patsy would say.
