M-M-March Madness

There he is!

Hieeeeeeeeee as Alaska the drag queen would nasally say. My mother watched “Drag Race” for the first time recently and remarked that several of the contestants made pretty girls. Well yah! I finally finished this friggin’ Waldo puzzle in the past month, now I can move on with MY LIFE.

First daffodil in the backyard 💛

Sweet lovers love the spring.

Bear Cub!

Bear Cub has been hobbling around lately, so I put in a call to the vet for an anti-inflammatory. She hasn’t been to the vet in years. Hates it.

Alright alright alright

The bare bones of my Oskar drawing. We recently re-watched the movie, loved it all over again. Such a beautiful, quiet film. Perfect casting.

Baby has a cold and wants to be on Mama’s lap, even during drawing time. (That’s a blender I gave him to hold, not a pencil!)

Here’s my sweet baby with a cold, wanting to be on mama’s lap for drawing time. Mama didn’t get anything done.

💚

I always photograph the hellebores in the backyard every spring because it’s one of the first flowers to bloom, and it’s cool-looking.

Muy deliciosa 😋

Delicious baby flesh.

Mint sparkle nails for spring ✨✨✨

The nail color looks all washed-out on my computer screen, but this is mint green glitter for March. Very pretty-pretty. If shellac didn’t totally ruin my nails, I would do it all the time.

Nice day for it 💚

So what’s going on this month? More outside play time. More words from baby (“cheese” and “boots”).

Happy Sunday! 🌀

Still a dork!

Progress.

More progress on Oskar. The blonde hair hues are HARD.

😁

Here’s a little cartoon I thought up one day. Karma punished me by playing a Bjork song (“Army of Me”) in my head the rest of the day.

Hurray for sunny days! And this lemon bucket hat I bought at the dollar store. 🍋🍋🍋

This is my new lemon bucket hat I bought at the dollar store, along with a pair of gardening gloves with pink flamingoes all over them. Geriatric Chic!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! (We didn’t get it together to wear the kilts this year) 🍀🍀🍀

On St. Patrick’s Day we completely forgot to dress the boys in kilts and make corned beef and cabbage, but I did force the babysitter to take this picture of the boys and I.

More progress on Oskar.

More progress on Oskar. The eye needs work.

Oh hi!

Hello, cute pie! And his little tooth buds.

Picked up my ukulele for the first time in ages today. 🎼

I picked up the uke for the first time in ages and attempted to learn some tunes. One problem: the thing is constantly going out of tune. Like, constantly. Also, since when are my fingers so sausage-like? Why can’t I place them the way the instructor can? I knew I should have taken piano.

💛

I love my bebe. He’s shouting at me right now as I compose this.

Men at work. 🌱

Raking up leaves, getting ready to spread dirt for the future jungle gym, a “present” from Uncle Mike (the previous owners of his house left it behind).

I can’t believe I got them to sit still and watch a show with me for like, 15 whole minutes (“Gabby’s Dollhouse”).

Turns out, I can get the baby to sit still if I put on “Gabby’s Playhouse”! At one, his attention span is nearly longer than his big brother’s.

Today we had a nice visit from Fleeta and Bob. The men spent hours packing down dirt and began building the jungle gym for the boys in our backyard.

Three generations of Holcomb mens surveying the backyard for the jungle gym. Goo wants to help, always.

Starting on the background. Not sold on the aqua.

Yyyyyeah I don’t know, that background isn’t doing anything for me. Maybe less aqua.

Fabulous dinner at Anthony’s to celebrate Mumsie passing her healthcare assistant exam. Yay Mom! 💕

Here we are at Anthony’s, sans masks, celebrating Mom passing her healthcare assistant exam! Yay! They didn’t have crab, BOO.

This is “Cloud” by Lime Crime, and I’ve decided I’m more of a pink hair and not lavender hair kind of person.

And finally, this is what I look like now, after tinting my hair with Lime Crime’s “Cloud”. Less of a bright periwinkle, more of a muted lavender, but not too shabby, eh? Catch you later.
