I like rainbow sprinkles on my ice cream pie yeah right!*

red primroses
The first signs of spring are showing on the primroses. The Boy bought them at a grocery store last year, they were cheap–and yet, they seem impossible to kill off!

pink primroses
Of all the flowers around our house, I’m not that crazy about the primroses, but it’s nice to have a splash of color around.

the front yard is mostly moss
The moss content of the front yard increases every year. Our landlord doesn’t seem particularly interested in doing anything about it, and neither do we.

Maggie stalks
At any rate, it’s a nice shade of green!

turtle camera bag
Turtle camera bag I bought at the swap meet in Maui. It broke during the trip, and I finally fixed it the other day. My camera is heavy, and if I dropped it I would cryyyyy.

flowers in the afternoon sunshine
In about an hour I’m leaving for Corinne’s house.

open tulip
She has another dentist appointment, and I am her designated driver.

knit shorts and ice water
In return for my chauffeuring, she is letting me videotape her druggy antics all day long, and has given me COMPLETE CREATIVE CONTROL. Do you know how exciting that is, blogreader?

Maggie is ready
I mean, I spend most of my life forcing loved ones to pose for the camera, and now…complete creative control? The mind reels!

bounding Bear
One thing I am definitely not doing: taking her to her place of employment and allowing her to humiliate herself (again).

moss
You can babysit her next time,” her roommate groaned. She was the driver last time, and she was the one who watched, in shock, as Corinne steered the motorized shopping cart around the store. “When I told her to look out for kids, she drove right at them!” she added in horror.

trees
One might ask, why did she take Corinne there in the first place? “I can’t tell her no!” explained her roommate.

explore
I can!” I snorted. “I’ve known her for fifteen years…I enjoy telling her no.”

snorf
Then tomorrow I have my own dentist appointment in the morning (please God no more root canals please God no more root canals…), and Corinne’s going to return the favor.

Maggie finds a ball
That’s right, two days of drugs, dentists, and dementia coming right up! Stay tuned!

* the Boy woke up singing it, and now it’s gonna be in my head ALL DAY. Yours too?

  1. The old-fashioned inexpensive and simple way to cut back on moss on a lawn without exotic chemicals is to lime it. Moss thrives in an acidic environment. Lime runs about 3 bucks a 50lb bag. Hey completely unrelated, but haven’t you mentioned that you stream Netflix? How extensive and current is their programming? Not so much movies but series that are generally shown on cable channels. Things like Boardwalk Empire..Dr Who.. How far behind do they run? A week.. a season? Appreciate any info. Their site is not very candid.

  2. Lime? Like what they poured over Amadeus in the movie? Eww.

Netflix is wonderful–I’ve used it for probably 10 years, haven’t had cable at all during that time, and it’s greatly improved my quality of life. We stream but we rent movies too, 3 at a time. I’d say the shows run about a season behind–it doesn’t generally bother us!

  3. …we just ordered “Boardwalk Empire”, they have seasons 1 & 2. They have 6 seasons of Dr. Who–that’s one I haven’t seen. any other questions? 🙂
