Flowers, getting active, and staunch characters

Hey, hey, it’s Memorial Day! That doesn’t mean a lot to us, really. Josh is still working today and I am still doing the usual (non-working). Gym + grocery store. I’ve decided to FORCE myself to do some artwork. Goal for this week: no more afternoon naps!

I re-joined WW a week ago, meetings and everything, and bought an “Activelink”–a little device that you clip to your bra strap that measures the activity you do all day long, and converts it into WW points. I was in “assessment” all last week and couldn’t WAIT to hook up the Activelink this morning and look at all my activity! LO AND BEHOLD: turns out I’m not that active. I may have exercised 4 out of the 7 days, but on those 3 non-exercise days I did, basically, nothing. Sooooo I need to get more active!

If I was working I know I’d be more active–running around all day seeing patients. At home, why would I run around? I do a little housecleaning, sure, but that doesn’t take hours (mwa ha har). And my trips to the dog park only equal about 30 minutes of walking, max.

In other news, have you started watching the new season of “Arrested Development”, a’la Netflix? Please do, so we can discuss Portia de Rossi’s face. Something is DEFINITELY up, there. Girrrrrrl.

I feel like my blog needs a shake-up, but I haven’t figured out what that entails, yet.

In the meantime, flowers flowers dogs and more flowers.

Big Edie, Little Edie, and the Marble Faun. ACT theatre's production of "Grey "Gardens".
Saturday we went to the ACT theatre downtown and watched the musical version of “Grey Gardens”! The actress who played Big Edie was SPOT ON–and it even featured the Marble Faun! I didn’t expect that. It ran a little long–almost 3 hours and Josh’s back was bothering him, but I’m glad we went. We went with my sister and mother-in-law, and neither one of them had seen the documentaries, so it was a new experience. S-T-A-U-N-C-H!

  1. Gawd I am SO jels of your theatre trip to see the Edie’s … I agree moving much when you’re at home isn’t really possible, unless you’re working out at home … yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxo

    1. I kept waiting for them to break out “Tea for Two”, but it didn’t happen. They did, however, sing an odd little ditty about how much the Marble Faun likes Big Edie’s cooked corn…?!?
