Drag is the Drug
Dressed up for the Priscilla show last night in, what else? My “Drag is the Drug” tee-shirt and a wig, of course! After all, my “Drag is the Drug” painting was inspired by the tagline they used to promote the movie waaaay back in the 90’s. I learned that little tidbit from watching the special features on the movie.

Liz and Corinne outside the Paramount
Corinne and I outside the Paramount Theatre.

Josh and Corinne inside the Paramount
Joshy and Corinne. We were early…all of those seats eventually filled up.

Priscilla curtain
The curtain. I didn’t take a lot of photos during the show. At one point I dropped my camera, it hit the cement and went flying under the seat of the girl in front of me. Luckily I didn’t break it (any more), but I was embarrassed so I mostly kept it in my purse after that.

Priscilla onstage
It was a fabulous show! Good songs–lots of Madonna–beautiful costumes, great singing, and lots of hot muscular mens to admire as well. The three of us really enjoyed it.

after the show
After the show, the cast gathered onstage and the man who played Bernadette (tearfully) said that it was their very last performance of “Priscilla”, possibly forever, since the show was quite expensive to put on. Then, the man who played Felicia introduced the choreographer as the “love of his life for the past three years”…

after the proposal
…and proposed to him right on the spot! It was so sweet. Corinne and I both got a little verklempt, you understand. All in all, it was a great show, and definitely worth it.

It is nothing but rain outside and I feel bad for the pets. I keep yelling “BALL!” at Maggie to inspire her to find a ball in the house, but so far it has yielded nada. Booooooo.
