And don’t speak too soon For the wheel’s still in spin

I'm going to miss these colors 🍁🍂

Hey blerg, what’s happening? It’s coooold outside. The girls and I went for a brief walk and then it was back to the house quickly, for fat pants and thick socks and a big ass cuppa coffee. Mmmm.

Some "light" nighttime reading (thanks @dubtrance 💋).

I skimmed this quickly and then tossed it into the donation box. It’s just an overview of all her movies, with a few Bette quotes thrown in. BORING, I WANTED DIRT, DAMMIT!

These leaves don't need any filters (sigh...) ❤️

Last Thursday I had a procedure at the fertility clinic whereby a camera was inserted into my uterus and then I got to actually see what it looks like on a big screen TV. Results: a polyp! One fully-formed polyp, and then another smaller one just starting. The guy doing the test was very matter-of-fact (and fast); he merely told me that the presence of the polyp would cause me to have heavy, painful periods (YES IT DOES!) and that the polyp would have to be removed before IVF. Well okay then.

Time to add glitter (my favorite part) ✨✨✨

Evidently the procedure is quick and easy and “takes 15 minutes”. He told me that he would inform my primary fertility doc and the nurse and schedule the procedure for next month.

🍁

Honestly if he had offered to cut it out right then and there I would have said yes, saved myself another long commute to Lake Union, sheesh. GET IT OUT.

Been drawing faces my whole life.

Little Lizzy, always drawing faces.

New shellac color: berry glitter ✨

Current shellac: berry glitter. Berry nice!

Never been a high heels person but I do appreciate a good wedge.

These fun woven wedges are by Bernie Mev, and they are really comfortable. They make me taller without pain. I want to get them in rainbow!

🍂🍃

Other than that last appointment, nothing else Robo Baby-related is happening this month. We meet with my fertility doc again on December 4th. I haven’t yet trimmed down my coffee consumption from 3 cups to 2…although I consider it every day!

💚

I took my new prenatal liquid vitamin one day last week and had terrible heartburn for several days afterwards. I’m not sure if those two things are related, but I haven’t had the prenatal since. I have, however, been taking folic acid for 5349534953448 years, so at least I have that going for me. I’ve also started trimming down my nightly Trazodone (sigh).

Josh made us breakfast this morning.

Can you tell who made breakfast Saturday morning?

'Sup, Troll.
The troll under the Fremont bridge.

On Saturday we went to Fremont to the Brooks running shoe store so I could try on more shoes in the “Pure” series. I’ve adored the “Pureconnect 2”, but they stopped making it. Now they’re up to the Pureconnect 4, which made my toes fall asleep. The saleslady somehow convinced me that another 1/2 size up would be better, so I left with another pair of 4’s…and they made my toes fall asleep within 12 minutes of my last run. Uh huh. It’s not ME, Brooks, it’s YOU. Damn shame.

🍂

I signed us up for a 10K right after the half marathon, not knowing that I would have major foot pain for two and a half weeks, and I’ve been dreading thinking about running it ever since. Last night I finally told Josh that the only reason why I even wanted to run it was so that he wouldn’t give me shit, I didn’t even want to run it, and he promised not to give me shit so now I don’t have to run it. Phew. I don’t even have a decent pair of running shoes right now, just the ones I’ve had for 3 years. Bad news.

My favorite part of the movie. 🍍

Finally saw Amy Schumer’s movie “Trainwreck”, and it was just as funny as I knew it would be. This was my favorite scene. New vocabulary word!

Currently reading.

I have mixed feelings about this book, which Josh bought me for Christmas last year. Pros: it’s quirky, and takes place in Seattle. Cons: it’s written from multiple character’s standpoints, which drives me nuts, and the main character HATES Seattle throughout most of the book, so that was a little rough to read. It redeemed itself in the end and I chose not to place it in the donation box.

The glitter drawer gives me so much joy ✨✨✨

I’ve been gettin’ it on with the glitter drawer lately.

Glittering in progress ✨

Almost done with this guy! Woo hoo!

Brrrrr 💚
Glazed expression due to cold weather. Between you and me blog, signing up for a run in November is just plain NUTS anyhow. Hopefully Josh will have fun! Ah hahahahaaaaaaa!
