Give thanks!

Sleeping with this dude tonight.
Oh blog-dee, oh blog-da, life goes on, yeah! Oh-whoa how life goes on. Here’s a dog butt! Mr. Bennett gave me a little snuggle during our trip to Spokane for Francis’s memorial service.

Mushrooms of Eastern Washington 🍄🍄🍄
Barnacle Bob, Anne Marie, and an old friend of the boys’ spoke, and there were many cookies afterwards, and I may have gained three pounds.

Good morning.
On the whole the memorial seemed less emotional than her husband’s, when multiple members of the family were openly weeping. Anne Marie cried throughout her speech, and tears definitely pricked my eyes. It was my third memorial.

Columbia River. 🌀
Josh now has two remaining grandparents alive, and they are both 87 and doing very well, thankfully.

No amount of gym time this week is gonna balance out the number of frosted spice cookies I snarfed last weekend, but at least I’m here! 💪
No amount of gym is gonna balance out those cookies, bay-bee. But one can be optimistic!

New painting in my Etsy shop! “Red haired girl with pink flowers”. 🌸🌸🌸
Looky here, I finally finished this painting! Only took 8 years. Well, there was a gap of 8 years between starting and finishing. You know. HERE SHE IS!

Bought a deep green shimmer eyeshadow from L’Oréal today. It’s slightly better (gasp!) than the MAC one I’ve been using.
If I had a bunch of money here are some things I would have done: eyebrow wax/tint. Lash dye/perm. Laser for broken capillaries on my face.

Pink flamingos! Also, how is there not a pink flamingo emoji? Priorities, people.
Someday after I’m doing pushing out babies I’d like to get my varicose veins that I’ve had since age 22 dealt with. But only if they don’t come back! I’ve had a few things removed from the derm that have grown back–wtf? They should warn you.

Tried a new hair technique: sprayed the ends with Redken’s “Wind Up” last night and slept with my hair in a loose bun. Woke up with mermaid waves!
The night before I went to bed I sprayed Redken’s “Wind Up” on the ends of my hair, put it in a high, loose bun, and voila! Mermaid waves the next morning. Ooh la la!

Onto the next adventure...😅
Dis Goo is now in a “big boy” bed. He fell out multiple times the first evening, so Josh installed a small beam across the open end.

Saturday night!
Why do they have to grow up so fast? That fat baby stage was, I swear, like a blink.

I love Tokyo’s street style. I got hooked years ago looking at “FRUiTS” magazine. 😍
BUCKET LIST: Tokyo.

At my sister-in-law’s house 🌸
Subversive cross-stitch at Brenna’s house. Super appropriate for this family.

Unpopular opinion: I think snails are cute. 🐌
I don’t particularly like what snails do to our garden attempts but they sure are cuuuuuute.

#tbt I still have pics from our October 2015 NYC trip I never posted! 😂
I still have un-posted pics from our NYC trip, three years ago. I took so many pictures!

❤️
What else is going on? I’m working. Baby M is starting daycare on December 3rd, my 39th birthday. I already made a hot pink “DON’T QUESTION ME” t-shirt to mark the occasion. I tried to get a photo of Patsy in all her vodka-swilling glory on the t-shirt but was informed it was copyright-protected. DAMN.

Sup, dudes.
I’m SO excited about turning Patsy’s fake age that I’m going to talk someone into giving my hair a French twist for our night out! Yes!

I wore my contacts to the gym today and one of the daycare ladies didn’t recognize me. Maybe I should wear them more often?
Which reminds me, I need to get some Duo lash adhesive so I can wear falsies on my birthday. Can’t ring in 39 without lashes, sweetie dahling!

@djmagicelf took this magical shot of Bear Cub today.
Gaze upon this magical photo that Josh took of Bear Cub, would you? I love it.

Huh?
And then look at THIS horrorshow! Gahhhhhh!

Cold walkies in late afternoon.
I’m really excited about this kid starting daycare. Our babysitter has been wonderful, but he will 1. socialize more 2. have a set nap time and 3. we will save $$$ with this change.

Here’s what I plan on making tomorrow for Thanksgiving...I hope it’s delicious. Ever notice how you have to wade through 10 paragraphs of blather on food blogs to get to the recipe? Who cares?
We had Thanksgiving at Grandma Shirley’s house and I made this fabulous bacon green bean casserole and it was mighty tasty.

That’s my man 💖
Still blonde! This must be one of those deals where you resemble your partner more and more the longer you’re together, right?

Bubbles on Thanksgiving ⚪️⚪️⚪️
He hasn’t quite got the knack of this bubble blowing yet.

M exploring new toys with his 87-year-old great-grandmother. 💕
So many fun toys at grandma’s house!

Wearing an “E” bracelet that belonged to my grandmother, E for Eleanor. If I’d had a girl I would have named her Eleanor Rose. 🌹
Speaking of grandmas, this “E” bracelet belonged to mine, Eleanor, also the name I would have chosen if I’d had a girl. Eleanor Rose.

Cold November walkies. And silly me, I keep forgetting my gloves. 🍂
Poor old crippled Maggie was a little less crippled today due to her week of no park/rest so I took the girls to the park today. Brrrr! I keep forgetting that it’s the end of November and gloves would be handy!

Special Grammy time today. 💙
Here’s Grammy and baby having some fun times. Bob and Fleeta are staying with us this weekend to top off Thanksgiving week.

Stay tuned to hear all about my 39th!
