Wednesday Instagram Jam

Pink rhododendrons and twinkle lights in our front yard.
Time for another round of Instagram Goodness! I don’t know what it is today (work stress, ahem, clear throat and cough, work stress), but I just need to blog and post some pretty pictures. Blog as therapy. Here is the rhododendron bush in our front yard, currently in full bloom. It doesn’t last long, but it’s so pretty!

Joshy in a sunbeam. Practice run for the #seattlecolorrun this weekend.
Joshy practicing for the Color Run. He’s going for a 10 mile run tonight. He asked if I wanted to join him, but I’m opting for Blogilates instead.

Afternoon delight. ☕️
Our house smells like a delicious candy shop when we make this coffee in the morning. It’s especially good over ice, with a helping of vanilla soy coconut milk. Mmmmmmm. Happy taste buds!

Last night we were craving Hawaiian food so we went to Bobby's in Lynnwood. Within 15 minutes we were in a food coma that lasted all night. Mmmm.
Josh and I were craving Hawaiian plate lunch after our vacation, and we discovered a restaurant not terribly far from home that serves it. Within five minutes of inhaling our food we were in a carb coma that lasted alllll night. I’m not complaining…worth it!

Had a magical moment with this blue dragonfly in my backyard. I looked away for a second, and it flew off.
This time of year we get the most fabulous, giant blue dragonflies in our backyard. This was the first time I was able to capture one on film! Er, phone. Thanks iphone!

There's a dog on my yoga mat!
Trying to do Blogilates with a 60 pound black Lab on my mat. Awwww Maggie dog. Her eye has been a little goopy for the last couple of days so I’ve been rinsing it with saline. Dumb Seattle allergens.

Glitter dog collars, I'm preeeetty sure I need to buy all of you.
Spotted these glitter dog collars at the pet store where we recently had Bear Cub groomed. I’m pretty sure I need to buy them all, right? Right.

Finally got my own Camelbak! Also some "light" reading material. Heh.
VERY EXCITING PURCHASES: my first, very own Camelbak. The color options were navy, purple and pink so I went for purple. I haven’t taken it for a test drive yet but I know it will come in handy this summer for long hikes and long bike rides. Also, a book on home buying for dummies! Because I need help with this buying a home stuff. A LOT OF HELP.

More Holly in progress. She's getting glitter-fied.
Currently adding glitter to the Holly Woodlawn painting. The more I add, the better it looks.

Had Bear Cub professionally groomed (for the first time!) and now her fur is shorter than Maggie's! Thank goodness her tail is still fluffy.
Freshly shorn Schnubs. For 65 bucks we had a groomer with 10 years of experience take care of allllll that Bear Cub fur. She doesn’t really look like Bear Cub anymore, but she will be a lot cooler and happier in the heat. The sedative we gave her beforehand helped immensely! She was a relaxed Cub.

The first "Grandpa Ott" morning glory bloom popped out today
I woke up this morning to the very first bloom on our “Grandpa Ott” morning glory plant! Yayyyyy. It’s neon purple, and I love it.

I bought these Sanuk flip-flops in Kauai and they are seriously the most comfortable flip-flops I've ever had...and I'm a sandal hoarder! They're made out of yoga mats.
And finally, what would a Liz photo dump be without a picture for the foot fetishists, eh? Here’s the luxuriant Sanuk flip-flops I bought in Kauai. They’re made from yoga mats, and honestly the most comfortable flip-flops I’ve ever owned. Possibly even better than the ones I had in my early 20’s made from Astroturf (ungf I loved those flip flops). I ordered Joshy a kelly green pair yesterday, made from beer cozies. Good times!

I can’t really blog about it but suffice it to say, today was stressful thanks to boring work (paperwork) issues. I have to focus on the positive: Maggie’s eye infection is clearing up, I made a vat of tofu vindaloo last night, so I don’t have to cook dinner tonight…and I ordered a kicky little pair of tie-dyed flats yesterday! Yeah! Optimism! Later dudes.
