There’s something happening here

Spring is near 🌷🌱🌼

Hallo blog. Spring is springing, my baby is cooing, and the whole world is infected with a virus. My, how things have changed in the month since I last blogged!

What do you want me to do To do for you to see you through? For this is all a dream we dreamed One afternoon long ago

As compared to my extroverted, extremely social and active 28 year old co-worker who is going through major depression due to this current quarantine, I can’t say my uh, “lifestyle” has changed all that much.

Wearing pink jeans, floral boots and twin braids at my professional job today. Happy Friday! 🌸🌸🌸

Josh and I still have our jobs. Goo’s daycare remains open, but Josh’s paranoia is forcing me to pull him out starting in April. Hopefully just for the month of April.

Today Josh and I are starting the β€œWhole 30” program, 30 days with no alcohol, grain, sugar or dairy (although I’m allowing myself a little dairy). This will hopefully budge our mutual baby weight. πŸ’₯

I can’t go to the gym any more, but Josh and I are doing the “Whole 30” diet, which (if you follow it completely) eliminates dairy, grain, sugar, and alcohol. Basically all the GOOD stuff. I’m basically following it but allowing myself a string cheese here, blue cheese dressing there. I added in a granola bar and my sluggish weight loss stopped completely, so I need to take it out again.

Pink tree season is here 🌸🌸🌸

I do miss the gym. I miss getting my nails done, if I wanted to. I’m REALLY gonna miss Goo going to daycare twice a week next month. And nobody knows when this thing is even gonna peak, much less go away.

Lil’ grape hyacinth comes back every year. πŸ’œ

Not much we can do, other than wash our hands, disinfect our surfaces, and stay the hell away from people. My 68 year old mother has moved back in with us, and I’m more concerned with her getting it than the rest of the family.

Da boys. πŸ’™

Josh is growing his hair out. What about all the people who have high maintenance haircuts, I wonder?

Orange Crush πŸ’₯

My twice-a-year trims won’t really be affected by the quarantine.

How lucky am I to look at this sweet face every day? πŸ’š

Mr. Chunks is now 5 months old. He babbles all the time, rolls over like a champ, and sleeps great at night. He’s not too interested in naps, but that seems to be a Holcomb Boy trait!

πŸ’š

I still wake him up and breastfeed him at 3 am, and then he sleeps until 7 usually. His bedtime is starting to get earlier and earlier. I can’t wait until it’s 7 pm!

Nice day for it 🌸

We go outside when we can, although the playgrounds are all closed now. Josh and his father cleared out the giant fallen tree in our backyard, so we have the backyard available again.

Bear Cub has been clingy lately. Here she is keeping an eye on me from above while I do my PT exercises on the floor.

Bear Cub has 100% taken over all of Maggie dog’s duties now. She follows me around the house, stares at me for no reason at all, begs at the table, and snores in her sleep.

πŸ€πŸ’šπŸŒΈπŸ€

A little green for St. Patrick’s Day. Josh doesn’t want to go to his grandparents’ house this year for Easter and potentially expose them to any virus we might be harboring. Boooo.

More work on Rita. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

I have a new painting project! Well, ongoing. Rita on paper on wood. I can’t wait to add the GLITTER.

Bringing back Wig Wednesday! Goo refused to wear a wig this morning, HIS LOSS. πŸ’•βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨

And finally, no stinkin’ virus threat is gonna interfere with WIG WEDNESDAY!

Bear Cub is celebrating Wig Wednesday too

You see? Even Bear Cub participated. Hopefully the next time I blog I’ll have good news to report! Siiiiiiighhhhhhhhhhhh.
