I said howdy, she said hi

Josh still buys me pretty flowers, even during a pandemic #Love

Hallo blog! Due to some malfunction of the app I use to connect my Instagram with my Flickr account, 90% of all my photos from April 2020 are not showing up and therefore cannot be added to this blog entry. BOOOOO.

These strawberries from the little fruit stand up the street really are something. 😍

So I’m gonna work with what I have–a giant strawberry from the farmer’s market up the street, for example. What’s new this month? The pandemic has not yet peaked. Goo is still out of daycare. Josh and I still have our jobs–the virus hasn’t even hit his building (lucky!). Mom is living with us. My parents’ divorce is moving forward. Mr. Chunks is 6 months old now.

Late bloomer 🌸🌸🌸

Mr. Chunks is a perfect baby with a slightly flat head in back, so I made him an appointment the first week of May to see a physical therapist. He had an appointment last month, but of course it got canceled like everything else and I’m concerned if I wait much longer his head will be flat forEVER. Noooooo! Not my sweet baby.

My bangs are getting ridiculous these days.

Things I miss: going to the gym. Getting my nails done. Being able to donate stuff to the local Goodwill. I miss working without a mask, face shield and gown on.

Happy birthday to this magnificent behind @djmagicelf 🍑💙💚

Bottoms up! This bubble butt celebrated his 46th birthday this week. Per his request, I made him ribs, steamed spinach, and a coconut cream pie (from scratch) for dessert. Mmmmmm.

Like Pavlov’s dogs, I salivate for a Peruvian brisket sannie every time I see the Don Lucho’s trailer parked in Ballard.

Something else to miss: Peruvian brisket sannies! Ohhhh Don Lucho’s, it’s been a while.

Quarantine puzzle number two! This one was pretty challenging. All those tiny leaves.

Following a subreddit called “jigsaw puzzles” where everyone posts pictures of their completed jigsaw puzzles made me crave a puzzle like a proper puzzle junkie. This is the second puzzle I’ve completed in the last couple of weeks. “Only two?” you ask. I know! I know! But a girl only has so much time! And now that Josh bought me a Kindle I’m actually reading books again! Woo hoo!

Outside work today: lots of blooms (and a little garbage).

Things I am looking forward to: sitting in the sunshine. Going to the cabin later this summer. An end to this friggin’ virus, eh? See you later.
