“When my ass was 19 years old I changed the face of professional baseball.”

I decided in January after month after month and year after year of crushing disappointment with American “Vogue” to give it up completely. Even though nobody cared, this choice was significant to me because I’d been religiously reading it since age 14.

I didn’t even miss it! I rolled my eyes when I saw it at the grocery store! But then Kate Moss got married in a John Galliano gown, made the cover of the September issue, and I gave in and bought it. Just this once. Shhhh, it’ll be our little secret.

Who cares that the September issue is 98.666667% ads? Can we tawk about that purple Alexander McQueen dress on the cover? MMmmmmm….dreeeeeeamy.

Kate Moss wedding gown
Of course John Galliano left rehab to design Kate’s dress. Kate’s dress had to be a Galliano! My favorite model and my favorite fashion designer of all time, together again. Sniff.

dared
I love the quote. Aw. Mr. Galliano, you can design a gown for me anytime. Really! Ain’t no shame in rehab, baby cakes.

bright dyed flowers
The Boy’s weekly flower purchase–a bright choice.

“You told me you love daisies, and hate roses,” he said this morning when I commented about how long the flowers had lasted.

“That sounds like Old Liz,” I said. “I don’t hate roses any more.”

dyed flower water
Look at all the dye! Pretty, pretty.

rhinestone on knee
I found this massive rhinestone at the dog park the other day, twinkling at me from the ground.

big ol rhinestone
Only I would find a rhinestone at a dog park, right? Once a magpie, always a magpie.

love
We just finished the second season of “Eastbound and Down”, a show worth watching. It’s hysterically funny, and insanely inappropriate. It’s even more offensive than “Strangers with Candy”.

ass
I concur!

hardcore errands
The Stevie character was hard for me to handle at first but he’s grown on me.

Kenny's doing it
Danny McBride’s Kenny is perfect.

what the hell
My parents would not like this show.

midget
It has a lot of foul language, which has never bothered me at all. You know what word I don’t like? “Panties”. Ugh. Can’t stand it.

yellow glitter girl sold!
Sold “Yellow Glitter Girl” to a blogreader, yay! Good-bye, “Yellow Glitter Girl”! I hope you’re happy in your new home!

Today: babysitting. Which reminds me…I need to find a salon that will do eyelash extensions, since my sister-in-law has offered to pay me for babysitting with a set. I’ve been thinking about it for months, sheesh, priorities, Liz!
