Bainbridge Island

ferris wheel Seattle
Here’s my shot of the ferris wheel from the ferry, leaving Seattle. I think we thought we’d get out of the car and cruise around the ferry, but we didn’t. It was super windy and cold, so we huddled in the car instead and made stupid Vine videos. We’re both on Vine! I’m EP Holcomb, he’s DJ Magic Elf, I think.

view of Seattle from the ferry
Good-byyyyyye, Seattle. The weather was lovely on Friday and Saturday–sunny, mid-50’s.

pajama relaxing
Relaxing in the hotel room in my new favorite lounge pants–size L fleece pajama bottoms with little sheep all over them that I purchased from Fred Meyers. The moment I come home from work they go on. Look at how big my boobs look! Sorry. It’s exciting when that happens once a month. PEE-EMM-ESS. The same little “issue” that compelled me to beg my husband to bring me home a cookie last night.

the room
Our room was actually pretty nice. I’ve stayed in some real shitholes; I should know.

light reading
A little light reading/chewing material.

I didn’t take a single photo on Saturday, but it was my busiest day: “shopping” in the morning (I tried, Bainbridge Island, but you just didn’t inspire me to spend any money), then lunch (frittata–still trying to be semi-low-carb friendly), an empty dog park with the girls, and then I bought a coffee and just spent an hour driving around Bainbridge Island aimlessly, which I never do. I’m the sort of person who puts everything in the GPS, and likes the driving time to be as minimal as possible, so just “driving around” was a new experience for me. I liked it.

Poulsbo
I thought perhaps Poulsbo would offer some novel shopping on Sunday morning, so I drove over. WRONG! The shopping was even worse than Bainbridge. Heigh ho!

Boehms mural
Some art, sweetie dahling sweetie dahling.

two dogs in an empty park
I had the rogs with me, so we checked out a different dog-friendly park. It was just as empty as the one on Saturday, but perhaps because it was cold and slightly drizzly.

dog park face
Fake it til’ you make it. Speaking of “fakes”, guess who’s getting eyelash extensions again this weekend? ME!

over Poulsbo
Looking over Poulsbo.

painted shacks
That shack on the left is giving “Blair Witch” realness. Did that movie scare you when you first saw it? I have to admit, a few weeks after I saw it I was in the woods somewhere, and I felt a little nervous. Of course, I was shitfaced at the time (I ended up falling over a PICNIC TABLE–bruising my shins for eons), so that helped soothe me a little. I was at the vitamin store today and I saw some homeopathic anxiety remedy pills, and was curious. Although anxiety-wise, I’ve been doing well for a loooooong time! Mostly now my biggest problem is Sloth. Beeg time. I take an hour-long nap every day, what the what?
