Sweaty days and nights

purple dress and shell necklace
I have a few Boise photos to share. I didn’t take very many pictures on this trip…too busy sweating, eating Flavor Bursts and watching “Seinfeld” re-runs.

Sally naps
Ohhhh, Sally. I took my own rogs to the park about two hours ago. They dove straight into the one disgusting mud puddle, naturally.

roses
My mother’s roses. I was happy to see my own roses came back this year–I have a miniature rose bush. This year we are actually fertilizing the plants. I know, I know! Baby steps! Maybe we’ll mulch them over the winter! Gasp…the possibilities!

photos
My wedding photo, and a cute picture of my brother and I that I framed for my parents. Thank goodness my mother no longer has the empty “boy” and “girl” frames for my future children placed prominently in the living room, sheesh, PRESSURE.

Mumsie on the couch
Mumsie wearing the flannel pettipants I made her…not that they are particularly visible, here. By the way, while I was in Boise I sold another pair of pettipants! Woo hoo!

happy Sally
Sally happily romping at the school we took her to every night at sundown. It’s kind of sick, but I sort of miss that hot hot hot weather. Not that 80 degrees is anything to sniff at. My father might accept a 3 month job in Haiti, and do you know what’s super close to Haiti? JAMAICA, MON! My mother and I are already scheming.

mother and daughter
Mother and daughter. You know, sweaty, with flat hair. At least I never have to flat iron my hair! (groan)

Sally and Mom at sunset
The sunsets were beautiful.

I’m enjoying my last week work-free before I start a 3-week job (thank God). THEN we’re going to the Oregon coast for a week, yay! Josh has never been, and I haven’t been in years and years. It’s gonna be Good Times.

What trips do you have planned this summer, blog logs? Tell me all about it.

  1. Ah you and your mom are beautiful, glad you had such a nice visit. There really is nothing better than seeing Mom. I miss mine. The only trips we have planned this summer are to visit Chris’s sick Aunt in Seattle, it’s depressing really my summer is carless and BBQ less, oh would you listen to me whine.
    xxoo

    1. Thanks Krista. Carless! That DOES suck. I don’t know how people get by. If I had to rely on the bus system all the time I would be even more of a homebody! I know plenty of people who don’t have cars but I don’t envy them.
