Everyone’s saying different things to me Different things to me

Howdy Ho, blog. Here I am with Joshy, sometime last month at a graffiti exhibit in downtown Everett. It was coooool.

After the exhibit we drove to a movie theater in Lynnwood and watched “Wuthering Heights”, the first film we’ve been out to in ages. I SOBBED FOR NEARLY TWO HOURS. I didn’t expect to, I’m generally not a crier, even for movies where I am “supposed” to cry (infamously I left “Titanic” smirking at all the crying people). Some magical combination of cinematography, music, and hormones I suppose. More recently I paid a whopping 24$ to “own” it and SOBBED AGAIN! Even harder! They got me, gal!

Other than sobbing over movies starring Margot Robbie, I’ve been hanging out with my girl friends, making some art, slowly moving from my intense yoga class once a week to a twice a week Pilates class (now I have a cold so I won’t be doing that this week, BOO), taking Rosie to the park, hanging out with my kids…

Attending my friend’s “happy getting out of rehab!” party. Gee whiz, it’s always nice to have an excuse to put on sequins and a wig, right?

The boys had their annual art fair/auction and I successfully bid on and won this piece that Goo’s class put together. As you might imagine, the bright colors work really well in our home.

I’m happy that it’s Spring, my favorite season. The boys recently had their school Spring Break and I was a little salty that I didn’t plan anything, but we ended up discovering the Snohomish Aquatic Center (it’s really nice!) and went there twice during Spring Break, along with downtown Snohomish for ice cream and gift shop browsing. Which is really the sort of thing I like to do on vacation anyway (other than lying on a beach).

I’ve completed three paintings lately, this one of Janis Joplin that a friend of mine is planning on buying and giving to her Janis Joplin loving friend,

“Be Here Now”, which is one of my favorite mantras and also was fun to work on while I sat on the couch watching “Couples Therapy” (SO good!), and

….this fun little guy, who is finished but now waiting for a sunny day so I can photograph it outside. What else? The little redhead is getting tubes put into his ears to alleviate his hearing loss caused by pressure, poor little guy. The bigger one is getting eye surgery in June. My mother needs a hip replacement, and I am on the search for a new physical therapist after a physiatrist diagnosed me with SI joint problems yesterday. Ohhhh these bodies of ours sure are fun, eh? Bye bye for now.
