A pretty hike

greens everywhere
Sunday we drove up near Snoqualmie Pass to go hiking to a waterfall. Evidently everyone else had the same idea–the trails were PACKED. Families, dogs, and, horrifyingly, I saw a pregnant woman wearing a dress and flats (this was a steep hike). Madness!

After a fairly sweaty, steep mile, you get to stop and admire the waterfall. Ooooooh, ahhhhh.

treetops
That was the highlight. Two miles was perfect for me–or rather, perfect for my bunion. Josh put a little rubber insert between my toes that was supposed to help it–on the drive home, my foot was on FIRE. I’m going to the foot doctor tomorrow. DON’T SIT CROSS LEGGED FOR YEARS (I’m totally doing it right now, as I write this).

Pretty, pretty.

Here’s a lil’ old video of the waterfall, Josh’s pores, a smiling Bear Cub and my teeth.

I hope we go hiking every weekend. I may whine a little while it’s happening–but I always feel good afterwards!

This morning I went to Zumba class, next I’m taking the rogs to Marymoor Park for some running/sniffing/swimming fun times. The weather today is GORGEOUS!

Here’s Joshy and the rogs in the water.

Joshy and some wet pets
Maggie loves to get wet. I took them to a different dog park yesterday and, to my horror, she flopped her tired dogbody right into the biggest, grossest mud patch in the entire park. SO TYPICAL, MAGGIE.

She just let out an impatient sigh like, can we go now? Now? Now? YES WE CAN.

  1. I have a Tailor’s Bunion too! Mine would really flare up after running. I got orthotics for my running shoes and that has really helped.

    1. that’s good to know! I’ve started icing it after long walks/runs…but I have Raynaud’s so that doesn’t work real well! BOO HOO. 🙂
